Wasted $40 on a crappy stapler for binding zines

Bought one of those cheap plastic staplers at a craft store and it jammed on the third page of my 20-page mini-zine. Anybody know a decent long-reach stapler under $30 that actually works?

Bought one of those cheap plastic staplers myself last year and it jammed on the third page of a 10-page zine about my cat. I ended up using a regular stapler and folding the pages weird, which made the whole thing look like a toddler's art project. If you find a good one under $30, let me know because I'm too stubborn to spend more than that on office supplies.
