Why does nobody talk about the mess with spray foam kits

I had to pick between fiberglass batts and a DIY spray foam kit for insulating my shed in Nashville. Went with the spray foam cause I heard it seals better, but man what a disaster. The cans clogged halfway through and I got sticky foam all over my gloves and the floor. Now I'm wondering if I should just rip it out and go back to batts or if there's a trick to making these kits work better. Anyone else deal with this cleanup headache?

...and that's exactly why I tell people to stick with the small 2-can kits from the hardware store, not the big froth packs. The nozzles clog up real quick if you don't use the whole thing at once, and once that happens you're done. Next time try warming the cans up in a bucket of hot water for 15 minutes before using, it helps the foam flow better and cuts down on the clogging. Also keep some brake cleaner or acetone handy to dunk the nozzle in between sprays, that saved my hide on a garage project. But if the foam's already dried and stuck, you're probably better off cutting out the bad spots and patching with batts, trying to scrape that mess off is just gonna drive you nuts.

Oh MAN, this takes me back. My buddy tried the big froth pack on his shed and ended up with this rock-hard foam blob stuck to his hands and the nozzle. He spent like an hour chiseling it off with a flathead screwdriver, it was a total disaster.
