Wasted $200 on a fancy paint sprayer before I realized my mistake

I bought a Wagner paint sprayer for $200 thinking it would cut my living room painting time in half. Spent a whole Saturday cleaning it between coats and still ended up with drips everywhere. Turned out a $15 roller with a good nap would have worked better for my textured walls. Has anyone else regretted going high-tech on a simple paint job?

$200 isn't pocket change for a weekend project, but you're acting like you bought a lemon car. You messed up by not reading the product description for textured walls, that's all. Wagner sprayers work fine for smooth surfaces like cabinets or doors, but nobody forced you to buy the wrong tool. A quick YouTube search before you bought it would've saved you the headache. The real waste wasn't the sprayer, it was the time you spent getting mad about it instead of just returning it or selling it on Craigslist. Next time maybe do five minutes of research before you blame the tool for your own oversight.

Totally feel you on this. It's like when you get excited to start a project and then bam, you're out $200 for something that just doesn't work how you imagined.
