Rant: My attempt to build a raised garden bed turned into a trip to urgent care

I thought I could slap together a simple 4x8 raised bed from cedar planks in an afternoon. Got to the third corner and the drill bit snapped, flew back, and hit me right in the knuckle. Ended up at the clinic on Main Street getting two stitches and a tetanus shot for $180. Has anyone else had a basic project go totally sideways because of one stupid mistake?

...and the worst part is you knew better too, right? Like I had this exact thing happen to me with a cheap drill bit from the hardware store that I knew was garbage but I just wanted to finish the project. They always snap at the worst moment. Did the urgent care doc lecture you about safety glasses or was that just me? Mine went on a whole rant about how he sees "one of these every week" from home projects. That tetanus shot really stung for days too, I still remember that ache in my shoulder.

@barnes.jamie man, that drill bit life is real, and yeah, the glasses lecture came with my last tetanus too.
