Always thought cordless drills were weak junk until my neighbor proved me wrong
My neighbor brought over his brushless Ryobi to sink 4-inch lag bolts into a deck I was building. He drilled like 15 of them on one battery charge and they all went in smooth. I've been using my old corded Makita for years and honestly this thing matched it. Has anyone else had a similar turn around on a tool you swore was garbage?

Did you try his drill yourself? I had the exact same thing happen with a Milwaukee Fuel after swearing by corded stuff for years.

That Milwaukee Fuel is exactly the one I got burned on last year, wouldn't hold a charge after three months of light use. I brought it back to the shop and the guy said he'd seen a whole batch with bad batteries, which made me feel a little less crazy. It's frustrating when you finally give cordless a real shot and it lets you down like that, your mileage may totally vary but I definitely get where you're coming from.
