A roofer told me I was laying shingles backwards and I argued with him for 20 minutes

Turns out I had the nail strip on the wrong side, letting water creep under every seam. Anyone else have a pro call them out on something obvious that saved a whole project?

Is water really gonna sneak under there that fast though? Seems like it'd take a while before you even notice anything wrong. Still, good catch by the guy I guess.

Have you ever had water wick three feet across a concrete slab... I have, it's faster than you think.
