Unpopular opinion: I thought sticking to one time zone was pointless.
I used to jump between time zones every few weeks, thinking it kept things exciting. After messing up client calls and my sleep for months, I settled in a zone that matches my main clients and feel way better. How do you handle time zones without going crazy?

Last year, I was bouncing between New York and Singapore for work. I used to think hopping zones made me seem more adaptable. Ngl, after I double-booked myself for two client calls at once, I changed my tune. Now I pick one home base and set all my clocks to it, even my watch. It cuts out so much mental clutter.

Honestly, I see it the complete opposite way. Tbh, I actively keep track of two or three time zones at once on my devices. It forces me to pay attention and stops me from getting too comfortable in my own little bubble. Sure, you can mess up at first, but it just becomes a normal habit like anything else. Sticking to just one feels like you're ignoring how other people actually live and work. I get more respect from my international clients because I'm on their time, not just my own.

Read an article once about how our brains aren't wired to track multiple times at once, it just adds background stress. Trying to live in someone else's zone out of politeness sounds good, but it burns you out. Setting a single home time for your work and sleep schedule is just practical, not rude. My calendar shows everything in my own time zone, and I let the meeting apps do the math for others. It removes the guesswork and stops those panicked double checks.
