Tried coworking at a brewery for a week

I figured cheap beer and free wifi would be a win, but after 3 days my laptop smelled like hops and I got zero work done. Anyone else find a weird spot that totally backfired?

Did you actually show up to work or were you just drinking beer for three days? Sounds like you found the perfect spot, you just prioritized the wrong thing.

Is it just me or does every "genius" productivity hack just reveal how easily we get distracted? Tbh, @terryj45 has a point - you probably knew you weren't gonna type code after three IPAs. Same thing happened to me when I tried working from a bookstore cafe. Thought I'd be surrounded by smart vibes, but I just ended up reading cookbooks and judging people's taste in novels. Breweries, bookstores, coffee shops - they're all traps dressed up as workspaces. The real trick is admitting you need boring silence and zero temptation, which is why I'm back at my kitchen table staring at the same crack in the wall.
