My co-working space in Medellin flooded mid-call with a client

I was on a video call last Tuesday in a popular co-working spot in El Poblado when a thunderstorm hit hard. Water started pouring through a ceiling panel right onto my laptop and keyboard. I yanked the power cord and grabbed my stuff, but the call dropped and I lost a chunk of my notes. Honestly, I think the hype around Medellin as this perfect digital nomad hub is overblown. Has anyone else found that trusting hostels or co-working spaces for reliable work is a bad idea?

I swear the "digital nomad" dream is just nature's way of testing how much chaos you can handle. Dude, you literally got baptized by a coworking space ceiling water. That's a whole new level of unreliable. Next time just take your call from a coffee shop bathroom at least you know where the leaks are coming from. People act like Medellin is paradise but the infrastructure there is basically held together with tape and good vibes. Honestly you're lucky you didn't get electrocuted along with losing your notes. Maybe the real hack is just accepting that the universe wants you to work from a bunk bed with a shaky fan pointed at your face.
