Fired off $2k on Google Ads in Phoenix and got zero sales back
I run a small landscaping company here in Phoenix and figured I'd throw some money at Google Ads to get more clients. Set up a campaign targeting homeowners in the suburbs, spent $2,100 over two weeks, and got exactly zero calls from it. The clicks were there, like 340 people clicked through, but they all bounced off my site within 5 seconds. I even called Google support and they said my landing page was too slow and had no clear call to action. Turns out I was paying for traffic that hit a dead end. How do you guys actually track if your ad money is going somewhere useful instead of just burning it?

Your landing page load time - what'd Google PageSpeed say exactly? I had a buddy in Mesa with the same setup, spent $1800, got 200 clicks, zero calls. His site took 8 seconds to load on mobile in Chandler. That kills everything for Phoenix since everyone's on cell data in the heat. Did you check if your contact form was even working on mobile phones?

Oh man, that's a rough way to learn that lesson. I think you're right about the mobile thing but also check your analytics bounce rate by device, it might tell you something different than just load time. Sometimes slow pages get a pass if people are really interested in the service.
