Blew a 3TB external drive that held all my game saves

Last Tuesday my 3TB Seagate drive started clicking. Had every mod install and save file from the last 6 years on it. Anyone here actually recover data from a failing drive or just start fresh like I probably should?

Same pattern as buying new batteries for the remote while the old ones still kind of work twice a year.

i had a 2TB WD drive start clicking a few years back and honestly i panicked lol. i tried a couple free recovery tools first but they just froze up. eventually i used a tool called R-Studio and it actually pulled most of my data off after like 8 hours of scanning. the drive was dead after that though so i'd say if you've got stuff you really can't lose give that a shot before you nuke it. just be ready to wait a while and maybe run it overnight.
