My tablet screen protector cracked during a deadline rush
I was finishing a big digital painting for a client last Tuesday when my drawing tablet screen protector suddenly spiderwebbed from the corner. It was a cheap $12 glass one I threw on six months ago, and it failed right when I needed pressure sensitivity for fine details. I had to peel it off mid-project and work without a protector for two days until a replacement arrived. That left my actual screen exposed to scratches from my stylus and my cat walking across the desk. The new protector cost me $25 and took forty minutes to install bubble-free. Anyone else had a protector fail at the worst possible time?

Did you try the old "sticky tape in the corners" trick while the new one was shipping? I once had a phone screen protector crack during a camping trip and used packing tape as a temporary fix, looked ridiculous but actually held up better than I expected.

Tape on a screen protector? That's way too much effort for something that costs 10 bucks. Just wait the two days.
