My cat walked on my keyboard and made a weird brush I ended up using

I was working on a space scene in Krita last week and got stuck on making a good nebula texture. My cat, Mochi, jumped up and stomped across the keyboard, which somehow made a new custom brush with a crazy, spattered shape. Instead of deleting it, I tried it out on a new layer with a low opacity, and it gave the gas cloud this perfect, messy, organic look I couldn't get with the standard airbrush. Has anyone else had a happy accident with their tools that actually worked out?

Oh man, that's awesome! I save all my weird custom brushes in a folder called "accidents" for exactly this reason. Half my favorite textures came from messing up a setting or a random click. It might not be some huge deal, but having a library of those happy mistakes saves me when I'm stuck.

Is it really that deep? It's just a random brush your cat made. People get lucky with tools all the time, it's not some big artistic breakthrough. You found a texture that worked for one project, cool. I doubt it's going to change how you make art forever. It's just a happy little mistake, not a new way of working.
