Rant: Four weeks for a Duramax injector is too long

Had a truck with injector problems. Ordered the part fast. Supplier promised quick delivery. Now it's been a month. The rig sits in my bay. Owner is mad every day. These delays ruin trust in our trade.

Which supplier did you use? I had a 2012 LML last summer that sat for like five weeks waiting on a single injector, it was brutal. I mean, you've got the core charge tied up and everything.

You know, I used to be convinced that waiting weeks for injectors was just part of owning a diesel, nothing you could do about it. Held that belief for years. But then a similar thing happened with my neighbor's rig, and his mechanic used a different supplier that had the part ready to go. Totally changed my view, because I saw how much time and money got saved. Now I always tell people to shop around more, even if it means calling a few places, because that core charge sitting there is brutal like you said.
