Can we talk about that cooking blog that vanished overnight last spring

I used to follow this one site called "Kitchen Sketch" that had these incredible hand-drawn recipe tutorials. The author gave me advice about roasting chicken at 425 instead of 350 and I was totally against it, thought she was crazy. Tried it one Sunday and the skin came out perfect, crispy and golden. Then the whole site just disappeared in May 2023, no warning, no archive. Anyone else have a favorite recipe page that just got yanked with no explanation?

People being done with the internet grind" is exactly right. If you ever find a blog you really love, save the recipes as PDFs or screenshots immediately, I learned that the hard way with a bread blog that vanished on me years ago.

425 changed my chicken game too honestly. Tbh this whole vanishing blog thing feels like a pattern where people are just done with the internet grind and quietly slip out without any goodbye.
