Dropped $60 on a password manager and it finally clicked for me

I kept using the same weak password everywhere until my sister's email got hacked. The manager auto-generates and stores everything, so I don't have to remember a thing. Anyone have a good method for convincing family to make the switch?

Password managers are great until the service goes down or gets hacked. My uncle lost access to everything for a week because his had an outage. Sometimes the old pen and paper method is just more reliable.

Wait, your uncle kept everything in one password manager with no backup? That's like putting all your eggs in one basket and then forgetting where you left the basket. Most of them let you export your passwords or use an offline key.
