The local print shop guy showed me how to add my own notes in the margins. I marked where the good fishing spots were and where the trail got muddy. Mix up handwritten notes with a good offline map app next time. Phones can store maps without service now, so you get the best of both. The old way works, but it's smart to have a backup.
