PSA: museum newsletter link now takes you straight to a casino

I was bored at my desk on Tuesday and clicked a link from an old museum newsletter about a rare map exhibit. The page loaded fine for a second, then it hard redirected to a casino site with popups asking for my zip code. I closed it fast, but my browser history still shows the museum URL, so anyone checking my tabs thinks I was gambling at 2 PM. I emailed the museum about it and they said thanks and that their web vendor was looking into it. That was three weeks ago and the same link still does it on my phone. Has anyone else got burned by a legit site that got hijacked or just left a dead redirect?
