Debate: Does a tight timeline make prompts better or just harder?

I wrote a prompt last week set in a single Tuesday in Tulsa, and another one 3 years ago spanning a whole decade, and the short one got way more responses, so is limiting time to a day or an hour the real trick for focus, or does it just box people in?
