Update: the wind kept us shut down 3 days straight in Amarillo and I actually liked it
We had a 250 ton on a hotel job and gusts hit 38 mph, so the super parked us Wednesday through Friday. I spent the time redoing my load charts binder and walking the ground with the rigging crew, and we found two soft spots the mats were hiding. Anybody else get their best catch up work done on weather days?
38 mph gusts is exactly why those soft spots stayed a secret, the mats don't care if you're bored. Sitting around for 3 days just means the schedule gets shoved onto guys who are already working 6 days, so somebody pays for that catch up later.
