So I'm on a site in Charlotte last month and a old timer named Pete watches me make a pick. He just starts laughing and says 'son, you been chasing that hook instead of letting the load tell you where it wants to go.' I'd been fighting every swing and wasting so much time. Anyone else have that moment where a simple piece of advice made everything click?
Had a similar thing happen with my golf swing a few years back. Some random guy at the driving range told me I was squeezing the club like it owed me money and to just relax my hands. Took about 3 swings and suddenly I was actually hitting the ball straight lmao.
Random guys at driving ranges are just as likely to tell you to grip it like a snake or stand on one leg. I'd bet you fixed it yourself and just gave him the credit out of surprise. Or the beer finally hit.
