Vent: A client in Dallas told me my highlights looked 'too uniform' and it made me rethink everything

I was at a booth at the Hair Expo in Dallas two months ago when a stylist from a competing salon pointed out that my foils were all placed at the exact same angle, which created a striped look I never noticed, and now I space them more randomly - has anyone else had a client call them out on something you thought was fine?

Did they actually show you what they meant with a photo or did you just take their word for it?

Three photos total, before and after shots plus one with a measuring tape against the tree trunk. I would not have believed it otherwise.
