Bought a $200 hot air brush that ruined my hair in 2 weeks

I grabbed one of those popular rotating hot air brushes from a big brand, thinking it would save me time on blowouts. After just 14 days, my ends got so fried and split that I had to cut off 3 inches. Has anyone else had a bad experience with these heated round brush tools?

Your ends probably weren't in great shape before the brush, that sounds like user error not product failure.

Oh yeah, the "fried ends" part really hit home for me. I bought one of those trendy rotating brushes from a well known brand too, and after a week my hair felt straw-like and started snapping off at the shoulders. I had to chop off a good 4 inches to get rid of the damage, and my hairdresser told me those brushes get way too hot for fine hair like mine. I'm back to using a regular blow dryer and a round brush now, it takes longer but at least my hair isn't breaking off.
