Okay, I actually read the full 2013 report on that one big event, and the popular YouTube summary is missing huge chunks

I kept seeing people cite a 45-minute video as the definitive take, so I spent an evening reading the original 800-page government report myself (it was a slog, I know). The video completely skips the 30 pages in chapter 4 about the official communication failures, which is a major part of the whole story. It just focuses on the parts that fit its narrative, and honestly, reading the source material made the popular theory look really selective. Has anyone else gone back to the primary documents on a big conspiracy and found the common retelling just... incomplete?

Oh man, I feel this. I once tried reading the actual JFK files online to see what the fuss was about. Tbh, I made it about three pages before my eyes glazed over and I just ordered a pizza instead. It's wild how much gets left out when things get turned into a simple story. You're right though, most people just watch the video and call it a day.

The actual JFK files are thousands of pages long, @the_spencer, not just a few.

Lol yeah @faithk92, makes you wonder who actually reads all that. I mean, what if the real secret is just that it's all super boring paperwork?
