Bought a $200 'government-proof' faraday cage bag for my phone that didn't even block my own Wi-Fi

Tested it by putting my phone inside and calling it from my laptop, and the ringtone was perfectly clear from across the room. Anyone have a real recommendation for blocking signals, or is it all just tin foil hat merch?

Did you check if the bag was actually sealed shut when you tested it? A lot of those need to be folded over a few times to work right, which people miss. That's a pretty basic fail if it was closed properly though.

Yeah that's what I meant, like did they actually close it right. Seems obvious but you'd be surprised.
