Switched from hand troweling to power troweling on my last job in Richmond
I always thought hand troweling gave you more control and a better finish. But a buddy of mine convinced me to try a power trowel on a 2,000 square foot garage floor I did last month. He said I was wasting time and killing my knees for nothing. I rented a 36 inch model from the local equipment yard and ran it after the initial floating. The finish came out smoother and way more consistent than anything I ever did by hand, and I finished the job in about 4 hours instead of 8. Has anyone else made the switch and regretted it, or is it just me holding onto old habits?

Ngl @sanchez.robin, power trowels just can't match the feel of hand finishing in tight spots.

Man that's a pretty big jump in speed... how did the edges and corners come out though? Did you have to go back over them by hand or did the power trowel reach all the way?
