Serious question, I thought those plastic concrete stamps were a total gimmick until my buddy in Cincinnati showed me the patio he did with them last fall.
He used the 'Old World Stone' pattern from Butterfield, and after a year of Ohio weather, it still looks like real stone, so what's the best sealer to use over stamped work like that?

Butterfield's Old World Stone pattern is surprisingly durable for a plastic stamp. My neighbor's stamped walkway in Dayton started flaking after just one winter though. A good sealer might help, but I'm still not sold on the long-term look.

Maybe the flaking is from the base prep, not the stamp.

Did you ever notice how the weather patterns seem to hit different parts of town harder? Ngl, my buddy in Cincy said his stamped patio looked perfect until we got that weird ice storm two years ago, and then the sealer just peeled off like a sunburn. Honestly, I think a lot of it comes down to how well you let the concrete cure before you even think about sealing. Tbh, I've seen guys rush it in late fall and then wonder why it flakes come spring. But that Old World Stone pattern is no joke, I've seen it hold up way better than some of the real flagstone I've looked at.
