Found a trick for bullnosing edges without chipping

I was finishing a patio job in Austin last month and kept getting small chips on my bullnose edges. Started wetting the concrete right before I ran the edger and it smoothed out perfect every time. Anyone else do this or got a better method?

My first bullnose job in 2018 looked like a beaver had chewed the edge off, so I probably should've tried your trick back then. I started using a wet sponge on the edge before each pass and it cut down the chipping way more than I expected. Still mess one up every now and then but at least I can blame the concrete instead of myself now.

Yeah @robert275, I read somewhere that wetting the edge basically keeps the dust from turning into little chips that break off, so that tracks. Your mileage may vary, but I've heard a couple guys swear by it too.
