Unpopular opinion: refurbs are better than brand new for most office builds

I see everyone in here always pushing to buy new Dell OptiPlex towers for business clients. But after doing about 30 builds over the last 8 months for a real estate company in Denver, I switched to off-lease refurbs from a local reseller. These are former corporate machines with 3 years of use on them, but they cost me $180 each instead of $650. I put in a cheap SSD and bump the RAM to 16GB and they run Windows 11 perfectly. Had one DOA out of the batch and the reseller swapped it same day. New machines come with bloatware and warranty hassles. Refurbs are tested and already burned in. Anyone else find that new gear fails more often in the first month than used stuff?

Gray's right. Corporate leases are abused but maintained like gold.

Read somewhere that corporate IT leases are practically bulletproof because companies maintain them obsessively lol
