The comic shop near my old high school feels totally different now

I went back there last week for the first time since 2015. It used to be packed with kids digging through long boxes and talking about story arcs. Now it's half empty, and the owner said he makes most of his money from Funko Pops and board games. He told me, 'Single issues just don't bring people in like they used to.' Is this happening everywhere, or is it just my old spot?

Funko Pops are his main money maker now? That's wild.

Right? It's crazy how much those things are worth now. I saw a sealed one from an old cartoon go for over two hundred bucks last week. My own collection just sits in a box, but maybe I should check what they're selling for.
