Warning: My buddy told me to skip HTML and jump straight to Python.

I tried it and got totally lost without the basics. Now I'm going back to learn HTML first, even if it seems boring.

Your buddy said to skip HTML completely? That's how you get totally lost. No wonder you had to go back and start over.

Why do some people act like the basics are optional? Like wendyb32's app crash shows, skipping HTML means your code has no solid place to start. You end up with frameworks trying to build on nothing, which always falls apart later. It's trying to paint a wall before you even have a house built.
