Spent 5 hours trying to dial in a new toolpath on a Fadal...

Had this part with a weird chamfer that kept coming out chattery no matter what I did. Changed feeds, speeds, stepovers, the whole nine yards. Turns out my CAM post was outputting G41 the wrong way for my control. Ran the same job on an old program from 2018 and it cut perfect first try. Any of you guys ever chase a problem that long just to find out it's something dumb like a post setting?

oh man, i feel this so hard lol. spent a whole weekend once fighting a weird finish pass that kept leaving tool marks, tried everything you could think of. changed holders, swapped inserts, even recalibrated the whole machine. turns out my post had the wrong arc output setting for that control, been printing it wrong for years. the second i switched it to use R instead of IJK it cut like butter. makes you feel like a real genius when it's just a checkbox somewhere haha.

Haha, tell me about it. Why is it always one little setting that makes you want to throw the whole machine out the window? I spent a full day swapping coolant nozzles once before realizing I had a decimal place wrong in my wear offset.
