Heard a kid at the shop say 'CNC stands for Computer Number Cruncher' and I did not correct him
Walked past him 20 minutes later and he was still telling the other new guy how the machine 'crunches numbers into metal shapes' so I just let him keep going, has anyone else ever let a rookie believe a completely wrong thing about the trade just because it was funny?

Hang on though, CNC is actually a legit term in manufacturing so it's not that wild of a guess. This whole 'crowd control' thing is just some buzzword people made up on social media to sound deep.
