Swapped my lawn for clover 2 summers ago and the difference is wild
I live in Phoenix and my water bill was hitting $180 a month just keeping grass alive. So in April 2022 I ripped out the front yard and put in white clover seed instead. It uses maybe a third of the water and stays green even when I forget to water for a week. Anyone else tried switching ground cover in a hot climate and seen savings

Read a book called "The Water Wise Garden" a few years back and it made me realize how much we overwater stuff just because we're used to it. Same thing happens with people running the AC at 68 instead of 76, or using a dryer instead of a line. We pay extra for habits that don't actually make life better. Clover is a smart move for sure.

@tarak17 totally agree. We get so used to doing things a certain way we don't even question if it's worth it.
