Installing a heat pump took me 3 weekends instead of 1

I thought swapping out my old AC for a heat pump would be a quick weekend job. Turns out the electrical panel needed upgrading and that ate up two whole Saturdays. Anyone else run into hidden costs converting from gas to electric?

12 hours into that electrical upgrade and you'll be ready to trade your heat pump for a simple box fan.

Modern life has a funny way of making us romanticize the simplest solutions after a few rounds of "upgrade." You're not wrong, @anthony883, the grass always seems greener on the other side of a 90-degree afternoon.
