I used to think electric lawn gear was overhyped until I ran a gas trimmer for 8 hours straight last August

Traded in my gas blower for a battery one after noticing my neighbor's yard looked fine and he was done 20 minutes earlier than me every Saturday. Does anyone else find the noise reduction alone worth the switch?

fr though the noise difference is insane. my wife actually comes outside now when im doing yardwork instead of hiding inside with the windows closed. plus i can actually hear myself think while im working, which is nice when you're trying to get stuff done in the morning without waking up the whole neighborhood. its honestly the main reason i switched over, the battery life is good enough for my yard anyway so the quiet operation seals the deal for me.

Oh man, I feel this so hard! The noise thing is honestly underrated. My neighbor used to give me this look every time I fired up my old gas blower at 9am, and I felt like such a jerk. Now with the battery one I can actually work on Saturday mornings without feeling like I'm annoying everyone within a block radius. Plus it's way less stressful on my ears too, I don't need that constant ringing after I'm done. The peace of mind is totally worth it even if the battery doesn't last as long as a full tank of gas.
