Brake fluid DOT 3 vs DOT 5 in my '69 Mustang, what a mess
Swapped to silicone DOT 5 last summer because a buddy swore it wouldn't eat paint, and now my master cylinder is weeping at the bench bleed port after 200 miles. I thought the stuff was supposed to be gentler on old seals, but I'm going back to DOT 3 and flushing everything twice. Anyone else battled silicone fluid creeping through fittings that were fine before?
