Tried staging my living room with fake plants from a dollar store...
I put up 12 plastic ferns in my South End condo to save money for photos, and the realtor told me it looked like a dentist office waiting room. Not one offer came through until I swapped them out for real greenery... has anyone else had staging backfire like that?

Did you catch that article in the Globe about how fake plants actually lower the perceived value of a space? @olivia573 is totally right, buyers can see through that cheap plastic look even in photos. Real greenery made a huge difference in my own place too.
