My closing took 6 months because of a sewer scope issue

Everybody talks about how fast the market moves here, but my closing dragged on forever because the sewer line had roots growing through it. Took 3 weeks just to get a plumber out to scope it - anyone else deal with hidden inspection surprises that slow things down?

Honestly, sounds like your sewer line was auditioning for a horror movie.

Yeah but horror movies usually have some kind of buildup or suspense. This was more like a jump scare that just kept going and going. Probably not getting a sequel though, if the homeowner is smart.
