Bought a house in Charlotte with a "new" roof in 2022 and it leaked after 9 months
So I closed on a place in NoDa last year. Seller said roof was replaced in 2021. First big rain in April and water started dripping into the guest bedroom. Found out they just patched the old one and covered it with a fresh layer of asphalt. Had to pay $3,200 out of pocket to a roofer in Matthews to actually replace it. Anyone else run into sellers lying about roof work around here?

Yup, happened to me in Plaza Midwood... paid for a whole new roof after that.
