Went with glued down over stretch-in on that 5,000 sq ft office job last month

Everybody kept telling me stretch-in was the way to go for speed and less mess. But I looked at the concrete slab they had, lots of moisture issues in that building near the river in Nashville. So I went with glued down carpet tiles instead. Took me and my helper 4 full days instead of maybe 2 for stretch-in. Worth it though because we had zero callbacks. The glue gave me a solid hold on that iffy floor. Meanwhile I know 3 other guys who did stretch-in at similar buildings and had to go back to fix ripples within 6 months. Has anyone else gone against the grain on installation method and had it work out better?

Glued down on a tricky slab is just smart risk management. Did a similar 3000 sq ft retail space in an old warehouse that had seen some water damage. Everyone said stretch-in would save me a day, but I went with full glue down on the carpet tiles too. Took an extra day and a half but no callbacks in over a year now. The peace of mind alone was worth it. You did the right call, especially with that Nashville river moisture. Ripples are the worst to fix once they set in.

Man glue down is overkill for most slabs honestly lol.
