The installer at the supply house in Amarillo showed me his knee kicker and I had to admit I was wrong
Stopped by a supply house in Amarillo on a run and watched an old installer stretch a bedroom with a kicker held way different than I ever did it, knee low and angled in instead of straight down. I'd been telling guys for 12 years that kicking straight was the only way that didn't wreck your knee, but his seams laid flat with zero peek and he finished 10 minutes faster than my method ever did. Tried it on a rental in Lubbock yesterday and my knee doesn't hurt today, which never happens after a stretch day. Anybody else switch their kick technique later in their career or am I the last guy holding onto the old way?
