Customer said my seams felt like speed bumps, took me 2 days to get over it

I used to think my seams were tight enough until a homeowner in Phoenix ran her hand across one and said that. Now I run a block of wood over every seam before I leave, caught 3 issues on my last job alone. Anyone else had a client point out something that humbled them fast?
