Took me four hours to fix a door that should have taken one
Had a customer's bedroom door that was dragging on the floor, figured I'd just trim it down and rehang it. Four hours later I was still fighting with a warped jamb and a hole in the drywall from where the door swung open and hit the wall, anyone else have simple jobs spiral like that?

Figure out what exactly was the biggest time suck there - was it the warped jamb that you kept fighting with, or was it the drywall repair after the door swung wild? I'm curious because I've had both happen and they're totally different kinds of frustrating. The drywall hole one gets me mad at myself for not seeing it coming, you know? But the warped jamb thing makes me want to just tear the whole frame out and start fresh.

Pulled the whole jamb out. Fresh start was way faster than fighting it.
