PSA: Never trust a framer who says "she'll be fine" about a load-bearing wall

Met a guy at a job site in Cleveland who told me a 2x6 header was plenty for a 12 foot opening, then I watched his crew install it without a single jack stud and had to walk off the job because I couldn't watch that house cave in.

Eh, seen worse stuff hold up fine for years.

That must have been rough to watch and then just have to walk away from. Hope that homeowner has some kind of backup plan cause that's just asking for trouble down the road.
