Just realized my old framing square has a rafter table I never touched

Been using this square for 6 years and only last week noticed the rafter table printed on it, turns out it gives me hip and valley lengths without any math... blew my mind in my own shop in Tulsa. Anybody else ignore those markings for way too long, or am I the only one?
