I finally got a mitre saw stand and it changed my workflow

Last Tuesday I was on a trim job in Raleigh and this old timer, Frank, watched me set up sawhorses and a sheet of plywood for like the fifth time. He just said "son, you're losing thirty minutes a day doing that dance." I laughed it off but then he showed me his Ridgid folding stand with the arms and I watched him bang out twelve crown cuts in like three minutes. So I grabbed one off Craigslist for $60 this weekend and honestly my back feels better and I'm not fighting with leveling scrap wood anymore. Anyone else put off a stand for years and finally cave?

Jumped in headfirst with a DeWalt stand two years ago and never looked back. @gray_gibson nailed it about that dance comment sticking with you. One thing nobody mentions is how much quieter the whole setup gets. No more wobbling plywood clattering around when you bump it. Plus you can pack up in like two minutes flat instead of ten minutes of disassembling your janky plywood table. That thirt minute a day Frank talked about adds up to a whole work week by the end of the year.

That "dance" comment hits different once you finally switch.
