Just hit 5 years as a dental hygienist and here's what nobody told me
I hit the 5 year mark last week and I honestly didn't think it would hit me that hard. When I started in 2019 I figured I'd get bored after a couple years but the burnout snuck up slow. It's not the patients or the cleaning, it's the constant bending and the wrist strain that adds up over thousands of appointments. Has anyone else hit a weird milestone like that where the physical stuff just catches you off guard?

@noahhernandez hit it right on the head. Those little repetitive strains turn into big problems before you know it. @gray_gibson's quiet damage comment is spot on because you don't feel it coming until you're already hurting. A good chair and proper positioning helped me a ton, but it's still something you gotta watch every single day.
