Serious question, is moving to the US the only way for a Canadian startup to actually scale?
Was at a meetup in Kitchener last Thursday and a founder told me he moved his whole team to Austin because he couldn't raise past a $2M seed here. But I also know a guy in Halifax who just closed a $6M round without leaving his basement. So which is it, do we fight for Canadian money or just pack up and go where the checks clear?
