Ran into a local angel investor at a coffee shop in Kitchener last month
He told me my pitch deck looked like a ransom note with all the different fonts I used. I spent three hours on it thinking variety made it creative. Has anyone else gotten brutally honest feedback from an investor that actually helped?

Ransom note" is actually kind of perfect. I started treating my pitch decks like a restaurant menu - clean, consistent font, bullet points, white space. Investors scan in 30 seconds, not read.

The restaurant menu thing works, but only if people actually love looking at restaurant menus. Some investors want the back alley speakeasy experience, not a chain restaurant.
